Once upon a time, in a dense forest, there lived a mighty lion who was the king of all animals. His roar could be heard miles away, signalling his dominion over the vast land. Yet, despite his power, the lion was lonely. None of the animals dared to approach him, for they feared his strength.
One sunny afternoon, while the animals rested to escape the scorching heat, the lion decided to take a nap under a large tree. Nearby, a small mouse was foraging for food. Curious and playful by nature, the mouse didn't notice the lion until he accidentally ran over the lion's paw.
The lion awoke with a loud ROAR! Alarmed by his mighty roar, the mouse froze in fear, realizing what he'd done. But instead of gobbling up the little creature as everyone expected, the lion showed mercy and simply said, 'You should be more careful, little one.' Relieved, the mouse squeaked, 'Thank you, your majesty. I promise to repay your kindness someday.'
The lion chuckled at the thought of a mouse helping him, but nodded and watched as the mouse scampered off. From that day on, the lion and the mouse became unlikely friends. To many, it was a peculiar bond, but they didn’t mind the gossip.
